Terms and Conditions of Business

All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT.

We can cater for any number of people although bookings made below our recommended minimum numbers may carry an additional charge.

Confirmation of final booking numbers must be given no later than 14 days prior to the function. If after that date the numbers increase, we will do our best to cater for the increase in numbers at the additional per head charge agreed at the time of the booking. Payment for the additional numbers must be made before the function in cash or by bank transfer.

All menus offered are subject to market availability. In the unusual event of the produce required being unavailable, we reserve the right to alter the menu accordingly. This is to ensure that our usual high standards are maintained. Every effort is always made to keep such variations to a minimum.

Where hot food is to be provided there must be adequate facilities at the venue to be able to re-heat and sometimes cook the food. This is to ensure that the ambient food temperatures required by law can be maintained.

Where food is provided on a 'lay and leave' basis, Garnishes will deliver the food as near to the agreed serving time as possible. Food hygiene law states that cold food should be eaten within 4 hours of serving and hot food should only be kept warm for a maximum of 2 hours. Should the client not adhere to these guidelines they do so at their own risk.

Where Garnishes staff are present at a function and it is felt that food hygiene standards are being compromised, we reserve the right to remove the food and dispose of it safely.

A payment of 10% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of the booking. The balance is payable 14 days prior to the event. No reminder will be sent when balances are due. In the event that the balance is not paid in full by the due date, the function will be deemed to have been cancelled. Bank details will be provided on request and cheques should be made payable to 'Garnishes'.

Where functions are booked at short notice (i.e. within 14 days of the function), the total amount will be payable at the time of the booking. Cheques will be accepted for the period between 14 and 10 days prior to the function. Bookings made within 9 days of the function will be payable by either bank transfer or cash at the time of the booking.

Children may be served alternatives to the chosen menu. The cost will be agreed at the time of the booking.

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure any left over food is properly disposed of and not consumed at a later stage. Food left exposed in less than ideal conditions for a prolonged period of time could pose a health risk.

All serving platters, dishes and plates remain the property of Garnishes and should be washed by the client prior to collection. We will endeavour to collect all of these items from the client within 24 hours of the function. A convenient time will be agreed with each client at the time of delivery. Any items which are lost, broken or damaged will carry an additional charge.

In compliance with EC Regulations, we advise that upon advice received from our suppliers and to the best of our knowledge, food items do not contain genetically modified soya and / or maize.

We are able to cater for a number of different diets and tastes, however it is the client's responsibility to inform us of any allergies, such as nut allergies, in order that we can alter the menu accordingly or clearly mark produce where required. No responsibility can be taken by Garnishes for any allergic reactions suffered where the client has not advised of a risk.
